GET HEALTHY IDAHO
Forty-three percent of households in Idaho don’t earn enough to afford the essentials of housing, childcare, food, transportation, and health care. Access to health care is a basic need, and when community members cannot afford this necessity, it threatens their educational goals, employment, and so much more.
In 2022, United Way of Southeastern Idaho received a four-year, up to $400,000 grant from Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Get Healthy Idaho initiative. During the first year of this grant, the United Way led a health collaborative to create and execute a community action plan to address the root causes of health disparities. View the Community Action Plan for more details. Ride United was created to address the needs identified in this plan.
