
2022 AWARDS LUNCH CELEBRATE AND HONOR PARTNERS THAT HELP STABILIZE FAMILIES IN NEED
At the United Way of Southeastern Idaho 2022 Awards Lunch on May 18 we came together to celebrate and honor the businesses, volunteers, and local nonprofit agencies that stabilize families in need in Southeastern Idaho.
Most notably to celebrate is the news that in 2021, workplace campaigns and individual donations raised an incredible amount to support local nonprofit programs – $430,000!

Congrats to Citizens Community Bank for winning the 2022 Above and Beyond Award! Citizens Community Bank is a trusted partner who has continuously gone above and beyond for United way, everything from a campaign totaling more than $15,000 and partnerships on initiatives like the Skills Development Center of Southeastern Idaho.
Congrats to JR Simplot, Don Plant for winning the 2022 Outstanding Employee Campaign Team award. The JR Simplot, Don Plant employee campaign has been an instrumental partnership for United Way, raising more than 60,000 in employee donations and event dollars and leveraging a match by Simplot Co. for a total of $123,000.
Congrats to Intermountain Gas, our 2022 Spirit of Generosity award winner! Intermountain Gas employees have shownspirit of generosity in their giving and are being recognized for leadership giving across their organization. We can always count on Intermountain Gas to help us at events, grilling hamburgers, flipping pancakes, and bringing the heat!
Congrats to the Pocatello Fire Department for winning our 2022 Heart of the Community award. The Pocatello Fire Department has continued to lead the city of Pocatello campaign with their generosity as our community heroes.
Congrats to Battelle Energy Alliance at Idaho National Lab for winning the 2022 Most Engaged Powerful Partner Award! Throughout the last two years not only has Battelle Energy Alliance continued to be a powerhouse on the fundraising end, but they have also supported our impact initiatives and created opportunities for us to connect and grow throughout the entire region. #StrongerTogether
Congrats to Itafos for winning the 2022 All-Star Employee Engagement Team award! This rockstar employee team transitioned their workplace giving method and still raised more than $30,000.
Congrats to Portneuf Health Trust for winning our 2022 Community Catalyst award! Time after time, Portneuf Health Trust has shown trust in our shared and innovative initiatives to improve health outcomes in our communities. #StrongerTogether
Congrats to our 2022 Volunteer of the Year, Lynette Battson! Lynette has worked tirelessly for our Women United organization, managing kits for seniors and countless other hours dedicated to United Way’s mission.
Congrats to Tim and Sheri Forhan for the 2022 Tocqueville Society award, which they received for making a sizeable donation toward the eventual creation of findhelpidaho.org and the planned Skills Development Center of Southeastern Idaho. #StrongerTogether
Congrats to JJ Murphy for winning a 2022 United Way Board Leadership award for his many hours dedicated to United Way, serving as president of the board of directors in 2021, being the first one to show up and last to leave at United Way events, flipping pancakes, grilling burgers and serving as chair of his community investment panel.
Congrats to Holly Mecham for winning a 2022 United Way Board Leadership award for her many hours dedicated to United Way, serving as treasurer of the board of directors, helping launch Women United and serving as huge support to the staff and an all-around amazing volunteer.
At the 2022 Awards Lunch, we also announced our new CEO – Shantay Bloxham! Shantay has more than a decade of experience in leadership at Southeastern Idaho Community Action Agency and will officially start on June 6. (Hooray!)
